The Majority of People Have No Clue As to Who God Is

The average does not have a clue as to who God is. They believe that since God loves them then he can and will just let them do whatever they want and there be no discipline. One of the things that even believers need to do is discover the attributes of God and realize that he has standards and that he means everything that is written in his word. As his creation, it is our job to love and obey him. As a matter of fact, Jesus said in his word;

If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15

Our love for our Savior is displayed in keeping his commandments. The average expects God to do his part, but do we do our part? There are many things written in the word of God that is hard for the natural mind to comprehend, but the believer is called to live out the higher righteousness of Christ.

So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:33

The disciple of Christ is called to give up all to follow Christ. That doesn't sound like settling for a comfort zone to me. It sounds like true discipleship. Christ wants absolute loyalty and devotion. We make the decision daily whether we follow Christ or follow the path of ease, comfort and disobedience to the Lord. If we choose to disregard the words of Jesus, we are not truly his disciple and have to face reality on judgement day that we really didn't know the Lord after-all. Just going to church, talking about God, witnessing to others etc...doesn't mean we have a stamped ticket into heaven, it's only those that do the will of the Father that shall enter.

Matthew 7:21-23

 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

God is not calling us to do what is popular, he is calling us to a life of discipleship as this is what determines our faith, love and devotion to him. Christ is #1 priority above all!!!

To the truly faithful, continue to fight the good fight of faith and hold on to eternal life! Righteousness does pay off and you will be rewarded.
