The Carnal Mind is At Enmity with God

 The mind of Christ is necessary to understand spiritual things.

Many try to understand God in the natural. Many try to detect God in the natural. Many people try to follow God, but their mind hasn't been renewed. We need the mind of Christ in order to see things spiritually.

12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The natural mind is at enmity with God. The word enmity means hostility. No wonder Jesus told Nicodemus; 

John 3:6-7

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

God is calling his people to come up higher at every level. It doesn't matter how many new seasons we enter into, as each new season will require us to tap into a greater depth of who God is and without a renewed mind it will never be possible.

Marvel not that we must be born again. In order to walk with God, you must be completely transformed. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says;

 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
